In the riverine forests, under a beautiful canopy of indigenous trees, you'll find ASKIESBOS -at the banks of the Okavango, overlooking the swamps of the Panhandle where hippos come out at night to graze, bushbuck roam freely whilst the owners make all sorts of attempts to farm organically.
The latter is quite a challenge to accomplish with great success, due to vervet monkeys, small cat species and all sorts of minute harvesting insects. But this northwestern corner of Botswana has its riches... and that overrules!
The natural beauty of this area is obvious, and the lure of birding, boating, fishing and sunset cruises draws most visitors to the area. However, for those interested in finding what lies beyond the surface, there are loads to discover. Community tourism came naturally for all of us on Klipsop Farm. The combination of tourism in a place like the Okavango, the rich heritage of our local communities, and our passion for them both, made us to want to share it with the world.
We pride ourselves with providing our guests comfort and luxury yet inside nature, enhancing natural elements and to spend quality time appreciating tranquility and TO REST whilst discovering what is to offer by this rich and interesting area.
